Turkey is located in western Asia and Southeast Europe. It borders Iran, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Bulgaria, Greece, Iraq, and Syria. The largest city in Turkey is Istanbul and the capital city is Ankara. Turkish is the official language, additionally Kurdish and Arabic are widely spoken as well. Istanbul is the only city in the world that straddles two continents (Asia and Europe).

Turkey is a popular tourist destination; it sees around 45 million tourists each year. There are several ways to get around in Turkey, this includes- buses, minibusses, ferries, cars, and domestic flights ( most suitable for long destinations).

The blue mosque, The Bosporus Bridge (which connects Asia with Europe), Turkish coffee, Turkish carpets, and the hot air balloon ride in Cappadocia are some of the reasons why Turkey is so popular. The best months to visit Turkey are April and May as the temperatures are mild and there are fewer crowds.
