Sri Lanka is an island nation located in the Indian ocean. The country is known for its pristine beaches, impressive tea plantations, and beautiful temples. The main exports of Sri Lanka are tea, rubber, coconut, and coffee. The tourism industry in Sri Lanka has been booming after the end of a 30-year civil war.

Tourism is rapidly growing in Sri Lanka. The main languages spoken here are Sinhala, Tamil, and English. Sri Lanka has slowly become a favorite amongst many tourists because of its natural beauty, cheap prices, and extraordinary facilities.Other than the usual bus and train, we found “Tuk-tuks” to be the most convenient and fun mode of transportation. Make sure you ask the Tuk rider to turn on the meter before you start your ride.

You can also download apps such as Pickme or Uber for your transportation needs.  It’s best to avoid the rainy seasons when traveling here. The weather is dry and favorable between January to March and this is the best time to travel to experience the true beauty of this island. Tourists flock there mainly for the rich historical culture, sandy beaches, lush greenery, wildlife, etc.
