Indonesia

This island country is located between the continents of Asia and Australia. It is the fourth most populous country in the world. There are five major islands in Indonesia and the country has a total of 16,056 islands of which only 6000 are inhabitants. The five main islands of Indonesia are Sumatra, Java, Kalimantan, Sulawesi, and Papua. The capital of Indonesia is Jakarta which is located on Java island.

The majority of the population follows the Islamic faith.Around 16.1 million tourists visit Indonesia each year. There are various modes of public transportation in Indonesia; from buses, minibusses, and trains ( In Java island) to ferries, boats, and planes.

Indonesia is famous for its volcanoes (more than 125 active volcanoes), Bali, a tourist hotspot where you can experience the beauty and culture of Indonesia, and Batik- a technique used to dye fabrics and their delicious cuisine, especially the famous Nasi  Goreng. If you are looking to relax by the beach or engage in some adventurous activities like snorkeling, scuba diving, and parasailing, you must travel during the months between April and October, since the weather is bright, sunny, and favorable for island hopping.
